Khaki forever

We've established my love for armed forces before (remember, here). It seems that the camo fever reached a peak, main reason why I set aside my beloved vintage uniform until the tide settles. Ironically, even with an uniform it sucks feeling uniformed. However, when I saw this khaki shirt on Topshop, I knew that as a lover of this type of clothes from like, forever, it was my duty to get it. I think the patchwork makes it rather special. I'm craving pizza at ten in the morning. Crazy.

Happy Friday!

Locura.

¡Feliz viernes!

Mustard, Ochre, whatever

Meet my new "ochre" coat. To me, it looked mustard online, but as it happens, it's "ochre". Same shit, different name. Whatever you want to call it, I dig it. A lot. With a sixties vibe included. It made me happy, like when I get a yellow Mentos, which, by the way, are very scarce lately... step it up, Mentos' people! My first try was going for similar colors and a very simple outfit. It's autumn-y in wintertime.

She bangs and Bundles

Yes, I got bangs. Damn you, Freja Beha, why does your hair have to be so perfect? Just as I predicted  when I saw the new Zara campaign for fall. What a girl crush. And I went for it. Like when you go back to an old boyfriend. Crazy and infatuated, you suffer from temporary amnesia - or some might call it Stockholm Syndrome - and conveniently block out all the pain and suffering that made him an "ex" in the first place. Well, bangs work like that on me too. You can't bear the thought of the other bitch having them. Even if it means a long period of high maintenance and wishing your hair grew back the second after you cut it. Because it is not until that moment when you remember that bangs mean hairdryers, brushes and pulling them down so they'll grow faster and even tears because you can't stand them as they stick to your sweaty forehead in a spinning class. And the worst part is I will probably cut them again in the future (in my case it goes in five-year cycles). Luckily, the worst part is over, I'm finally getting the hang of them. So, now I bang.

There's nothing more comfy than jeans, booties and a huge scarf, right? Happy Monday.

¡Feliz lunes!

Daisy, Daisy

Yes, I know. Daisy Duke. Argg. The Prada-inspired cheap crop top from Primark... no words. The only way I would wear this trend is like this. So no blabber today, I'm so tired. I'll sell my soul for a day at the beach. Any offers?

Ya lo se, Daisy Duke. Arggg.

Dirty Burrito

I love words that can sound dirty in certain contexts. I think "Burrito" is one of them. We were at a burrito place last night and we spent the whole evening making dirty references. Babaloo and I have had a burrito bit going on for a while and I can honestly say I'm able to have an entire conversation based on this delicious meal. "Want to eat my burrito?" "I like my burritos big and meaty". "Hmm, your burrito is spicy". Well, you get the picture. And yes, we are five.

There's something about this tunic that I really like. Its suede feeling and the ethnic cutouts make it really unique, I think. What a boring Sunday. Did I mention I'm at work? Sweet.

Genial.

Intervention, please

It's Friday. I'm still playing Angry Words. Someone stage an intervention, please.

This old white dress can really get you out of anything on a summer day. I'll admit, not a lot of effort, but the fact that is August and I haven't taken a vacay yet is taking it's toll on my imagination - which we all know runs dangerously free. Damn, I want it back.

For those of you for whom it's really Friday since you are still working, happy last day of the working week. And for those of you who've lost track of time being that you're on vacation on a paradise beach, screw you. To me, it might as well be Wednesday since I work all weekend. Toodles!

#BringbackCheezBalls

Ok, nothing cheesy about my outfit - at least I don't think so - but I had a flashback of how much I used to love Planter's Cheez Balls. Artificial cheese was never more splendorous than on that concentrated little puff. I know sometimes I write the most random things... it probably doesn't help that posts are written during my long, insomniac nights. So I wonder, whatever happened to my beloved Cheez Balls? Is there some chance of getting the yummy leftover production on the European continent? Any Planter's heir out there I can woo to get this up and running again? Does anyone else remember the delicious feeling of popping the lid off and opening the foil seal? I don't know how I survived the intoxication of artificial coloring since I used to chase these with "purple" grape soda.

Back to the pictures. White on summer, no rocket science here. I like this relaxed sort of boho look. Another Forever21 piece as the star, this lovely lace skirt, perfect for this summer and probably most to come since it's something I wear so often. God, I can't get the Cheez Balls out of my mind. Sorry. #Bringbackcheezballs.

#Bringbackcheezballs.

London, baby!

Day one in London. I had such a blast, I didn't even care about the weather ("lovely" British summer). My sister Sabrina - Bree- and Bil (my petname for George, my brother-in-law) we're so amazing and spoiled and pampered me like crazy. I loved seeing the city covered in the Union Jack flag and watching people go mad over the Queen's Jubilee celebrations. 'Cause trust me, EVERYTHING was about the Jubilee. It was a marketing jewel and miracle for businesses. Newborns were named Jubilee and people camped outside to get a good spot to watch the celebration, despite the heavy rain and low temperatures. It was insane.

We did our own thing, just relaxing, walking around and eating great food. You CAN have a spectacular meal in London if you know where to go. I miss my morning Jubilee juice, made out of Jubilee strawberries (whatever those are), but mostly I miss my siblings, I love having family around.
