Mostly Melina: Diamond Jubilee

Day one in London. I had such a blast, I didn't even care about the weather ("lovely" British summer). My sister Sabrina - Bree- and Bil (my petname for George, my brother-in-law) we're so amazing and spoiled and pampered me like crazy. I loved seeing the city covered in the Union Jack flag and watching people go mad over the Queen's Jubilee celebrations. 'Cause trust me, EVERYTHING was about the Jubilee. It was a marketing jewel and miracle for businesses. Newborns were named Jubilee and people camped outside to get a good spot to watch the celebration, despite the heavy rain and low temperatures. It was insane.

We did our own thing, just relaxing, walking around and eating great food. You CAN have a spectacular meal in London if you know where to go. I miss my morning Jubilee juice, made out of Jubilee strawberries (whatever those are), but mostly I miss my siblings, I love having family around.

Primer día en Londres. Me lo pasé tan bien, no me importó el clima horrible ("maravilloso" verano británico). Mi hermana Sabrina - Bree - y Bil (mi apodo para mi cuñado George) se portaron increíble y me consintieron a más no poder. Me encantó ver la ciudad repleta con banderas del Union Jack y la gente volverse loca con la celebración del Jubileo de la reina. Porque en serio, TODO giraba en torno al Jubileo. Fue una joya de marketing y un milagro para los negocios. Los recién nacidos se llamaban Jubilee y las personas acampaban bajo la lluvia y el frío para conseguir un buen lugar donde ver la celebración. Era la locura.

Nosotros íbamos a nuestra bola. Me lo pasé tan bien, relajada y comiendo rico. Eso de que en Londres no se come bien es porque igual no se encuentra un lugar adecuado, como en todas partes. Extraño mi "jugo Jubileo" de las mañanas, hecho con fresas jubilee (a ver esas que serán), pero sobre todo echo de menos a mis hermanos, me encanta estar en familia.
