Honeslty... is it me or it has not been well received? I haven't seen this trend as much as I thought I would have by now, given Dolce & Gabbana's Spring Summer 2012 veggie fever. This collection, which also featured other trends that have hit the streets harder, such as crop tops, cullotes and ladylike dresses, was inspired by a nostalgic and beautiful Sicily of the 50s. There are hardly any clones on the low cost stores, not like other garments that have been massified. And it makes me wonder: do people fear wearing an onion as a fashion statement? Is chili pepper too hot for the street? Who would've thought, I'm not a veggie person, but I sure as hell would want one of these pieces. Let's wait and see if it picks up.
Honestamente... ¿soy yo o ha tenido poca acogida? No he visto esta tendencia en las calles tanto como pensaba para estas alturas, dada la fiebre vegetal de Dolce & Gabanna. Su colección primavera-verano, que también mostró otras tendencias que si están más presentes, como el crop top, los cullotes y los vestidos estilo lady, fue inspirada por la hermosa y nostálgica Sicilia de los 50s. Casi ningún clon en las tiendas low cost, no como otras tendencias que si han sido masificadas. Y me pregunto: ¿será que tenemos miedo a una cebolla como elemento fashionista? ¿Es el pimiento demasiado caliente para la crear tendencia? Quien lo diría, no soy nada de comer verduras, pero seguro me apuntaría una de estas prendas. A ver si arranca.
